What is the correct way to pronounce the sound or au aw?

The North American 'aw sound'  has the greatest variation in pronunciation. Some regions of the United States do not consider this to be a different sound from the short o’ sound.  However, in many parts of the country, it is a unique sound so it will need to be adapted to fit the local pronunciation.
