Dyslexia Quest is a screener that alerts parents, teachers and other professionals, to the potential risk that a child may have dyslexia. The scoring system was developed by the Educational Psychologists, Specialist Teachers, and Qualified Assessors at the Bristol Dyslexia Centre and Nessy Learning. The scoring algorithms of the program are proprietary.
Scores given in the dyslexia quest assessment are reported as risk bands. The placement within the bands is determined by a pattern of raw scores. Scores are determined by answers, the combination of answers, speed of answers, and the pattern of responses. The risk bands are reported as red, amber and green with red representing the highest risk, while green represents the lowest risk.
